Frequently asked questions
How do I add my child?
After signing in as a parent, tap “Add child” on the parent home screen. Enter their first name and class, pick an avatar, and set a 4-digit PIN your child will use on their own device.
Can a child use Eduksha on the same phone as the parent?
Yes. The parent stays signed in, and switching to the child experience requires the child PIN. Switching back to the parent view also requires re-authentication.
Can I use Eduksha for more than one child?
Absolutely. One parent account can hold multiple child profiles, and each child gets their own streak, progress, and friends list.
Why does the daily news look the same for everyone?
By design. Eduksha Times is generated once per day and cached globally so that 1,000 children opening the app produces just one Gemini call. Same paper, same stories, no per-user prompts. This keeps cost predictable and content auditable.
How is the AI feedback evaluated?
Written answers and AI-generated MCQs are graded by Google's Gemini model under strict instructions. We post-process the output and filter anything outside our content guidelines. Even so, please use AI feedback as a complement to a teacher's assessment, not a replacement.
Why doesn't a quiz I took show up in “Today's Learning”?
The Today's Learning section resets every day at local midnight and lists activity recorded for the active child profile. If you took a quiz before midnight last night, it will show under Revisit Past Topics in My Learnings instead.
What about ads or paid plans?
There are no ads in Eduksha and no in-app purchases targeted at children. We may introduce optional paid features in the future, but the current curriculum, quiz, and parent-task experience will always be available without payment.
Is my child's data shared with anyone?
Only with the cloud providers we need to run the Service (Google Cloud / Firebase / Gemini). We don't sell data, build advertising profiles, or share with data brokers. Read the full breakdown in our Privacy Policy.
Can I delete the account?
Yes — see Delete account for instructions. Both an in-app option and an email request are available.
I think the app crashed / something is broken.
Send us a quick note at hello@eduksha.in with your phone make/model and what you were doing when it happened. If you opted into Google Play crash reporting we already see the stack trace, but a description from a real human helps a lot.
